I spend more time than I would like looking up recipes to make. I weed through the ones with too much butter. I cross out the ones that don't build up flavors. I dismiss the ones that overdo the sugar.
It takes so much time to put together the perfect recipe. Letting them die would be a waste.
The purpose of this blog is to compile all the recipes that I have constructed over the years. I believe in eating pretty, meaning that food should be beautiful to look at, to taste, and in its effects on the human body. Eating pretty is a lifestyle choice.
And with this blog, I hope to inspire others like myself to spend the time and effort required to create home cooked meals. Although cooking may not bring everyone kind of peace and relaxation it brings me, it's an important stepping stone on the road to healthy eating. Notice, not all my recipes are fat free, low sugar, low carb, etc. That's not the point. The point is - be aware of everything that you put in your body. Cook. Bake. Indulge. But know what you're feeding yourself.
I'd like to thank Emma G for photographing the food and editing the pictures.
I'd like to thank Zoya P for helping find and cook various recipes, and editing the blog posts.
And finally, I'd like to thank Harpreet M for helping cook various recipes, giving me tips about baking, and going grocery shopping :)
